This beautiful photo of a robin was taken yesterday by my granddaughter, Mesa, age 9. It speaks to me of peace, song, and life.
Some say waking at 3 a.m. is God’s way of getting your attention. Well this morning, I awoke when something came crashing down on my face. Yes, God, you have my attention! Lately, I have decided to refuse to lay awake in bed thinking thoughts of doom. Why is it when we wake in the night we tend to worry about things that may never happen? Well, no more future-tripping for me! I will not be defeated before my day even begins! So, I get up and get going. I read my Bible, journal, listen to worship music, plan my day, and do some writing. This year I have determined to learn to live inside the grace of one day - a concept taught me by author Wm. Paul Young (The Shack) . This day has its portion of grace, provision, opportunity, joy, power and permission. Tomorrow, it will all be renewed for that day. “Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.” The Passion Translation
