Mary did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters? Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new? This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you? It's a Christmas Carol rich and resplendent with thought-provoking lyrics; and yet this one verse makes me awe at the brilliance of what God did. Through this divine, miraculous birth of the child of our living God, Mary and the rest of humanity was given the gift of deliverance from dark to light, death to life, chains to freedom, grief to celebration, chaos to peace, sadness to joy, brokenness to wholeness, shame to acceptance, and loneliness to family. The great and amazing love of the One who created us all invaded history and changed life forever. Merry Christmas season everyone! Our Creator made us in His image. We are made for creativity. Nothing can draw people into the awe of Creation and the heart of God like a beautiful song; a painting that brings hope and healing; a creative idea that boundlessly blesses a child with cancer; a story that lines up with a grieving heart and brings peace; a piece of jewelry that cheers with sunlight; a voice raised in praise that draws us to heaven; a cello piece that makes us weep. What are you created for that can bless a hurting world? Today, will you please enter this holy place inside you and release your brilliance? We may not have the answers, but He already knows the outcome. We can rest, trust, and live with strength and hope if we remember to see our situations from the perspective of Heaven. He’s got this!
Isaiah 46:10 - "I make known the end from the beginning...."  Change is coming to your life. Are you ready? Change can be a bit scary because we are entering the unknown. We can make a plan; we can equip ourselves; we can take a risk; we can jump through hoops; we can think positive and move forward. But ultimately, it is God who helps us to make it happen. Listen for his voice. It's the one that sounds like love.
Proverbs 16:9 - In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make.  Ready, set, go! That’s the word for today. No holding back. It’s time to be focused, determined, and aiming high. It’s a season for forward motion. God is propelling you….Calling you….Sending you. Go!
